As an AI Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing top AI talents, researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs, and providing actionable insights to guide our investment decisions. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will evaluate individual talent and AI-driven companies, ensuring we back the best opportunities in the AI space. This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic analysis to support our long-term investment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on AI technologies, trends, and innovations to maintain a cutting-edge understanding of the field.
  • Identify and evaluate AI talents, including researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs, for potential investment or collaboration.
  • Assess AI companies for investment opportunities, delivering detailed technical due diligence.
  • Analyze long-term trends and potential breakthroughs in AI to align with the fund's evergreen investment strategy.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to provide technical insights and recommendations.
  • Build networks with academic institutions, research labs, and industry events to source exceptional talents and opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical team members to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in AI or related fields.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in AI, including proficiency in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or other AI subfields.
  • Experience evaluating technical talent or projects, with a proven ability to assess potential and capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Web3 and biotech sectors is a plus, especially in how AI intersects with these areas.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strategic mindset to identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex ideas for diverse audiences.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with investment professionals.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a keen interest in advancing the AI ecosystem.
