Job Summary

We are looking for an engineering labourer to join our small team at SBEngineering ltd, our work is in a range of industries from road vehicle maintenance (HGV) to specialist engineering projects within sites around Cumbria.

The job is difficult, dirty and can often be unpleasant, but is varied and rewarding. We are a growing company with expanding remits and many options for upward mobility and training.

Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians within sites, lift and carry work
  • Perform general site maintenance and cleaning duties
  • Pressure washing site vehicles
  • Assisting with fabrication, using grinders and other power tools
  • Assisting and learning both vehicle and plant fitting skills

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a labouring role is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices on varying sites
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • A valid driver's licence is preferred but not mandatory
  • Reliability and consistency is key
