Cemetery Operative

Full Time – 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 5 £26,824 – £28,142 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Cemetery Operative person to join the Council's Parks Team.

The successful applicant will be expected to assist in delivering the grounds maintenance of the Council's Cemetery and related open spaces on a day-to-day basis

The applicant should be a skilled Gardener, enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and have experience of working within a team. The job will also include the carrying out of grave digging duties including the use of the mechanical digger. Training will be provided where necessary for burial work.

Good communication and customer service skills are also important aspects of the role.

The role will require working outdoors in all weather conditions.
