PASSENGER & AIRPORT SERVICES ASSISTANT

20 HOURS PER WEEK

£12,792 per annum

Based at Humberside Airport, reporting to the Passenger & Airport Services Officer. The main responsibilities and duties include:

  • Providing support to our Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM)
  • Undertaking the daily checks and minor servicing of airport equipment
  • Ensuring the correct equipment is available for the safe handling of Passengers with Reduced Mobility
  • Liaising with internal and third-party organisations involved in passenger processing
  • Provision of assistance to PRM passengers in both Airside & Landside locations, including the process of boarding and disembarkation from aircraft
  • Providing excellent customer services
  • Operation of Airside equipment & vehicles
  • Undertaking Airfield Boundary patrols

Key skills required:

  • Well-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and follow set procedures
  • Flexibility, friendliness, and willingness to help
  • Experience in assisting persons with reduced mobility (advantageous but not essential; training provided)
  • Physically fit and capable of assisting PRM passengers
  • Excellent customer service skills

The role involves routine shift work on a 3-on, 3-off pattern, starting at 05:00 and finishing at 10:45.
