Our client are one of the World's leading commodity trading, price discovery and liquidity providers.

Due to an increase in commercial activity in H2 2025, they are now looking to strengthen their non-financial risk team with the addition of an AVP operational risk hire.

The successful candidate will be a senior team member within a dynamic and international team.

Responsibilities will include

  • Helping deliver the group's operational and enterprise risk management framework.
  • Working closely with 1st and 3rd lines of defence to ensure that financial and non-financial risks, incidents and issues are identified, assessed and managed effectively
  • Developing and maintaining risk reporting in line with Group risk appetite.
  • Developing and embedding the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process
  • Performing testing of key internal controls, whilst escalating issues as necessary.
  • Leading and managing annual stress testing and risk capital exercises, including scenario analyses
  • Assisting with the design and production of risk reports for Risk, Audit and Governance Committees.
  • Providing support and training to staff on their risk obligations, including weekly induction sessions and risk awareness programme initiatives.

Skills Required

  • A minimum of 3 years operational risk management experience (2nd or 3rd line) within the financial markets sector
  • Experience of the commodities industry (physical/ financial) will be an advantage
  • Experience of enterprise level risks and ERM framework management is an advantage
  • Good communication skills - regular interaction with business stakeholders
