Location: Inverness/Cardiff, with potential world-wide travel

Type: Full-time, 45 hr week.

Salary : Dependant on experience - £30k - £38k+

The Role

We're expanding our operations and looking for a skilled and adaptable Network Technician to join our team. This role is primarily based near Inverness, supporting our site operations for around 8 months of the year, with the remainder spent onsite in locations around the UK or at our warehouse in Cardiff.

This is a hands-on, dynamic role ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and working in a fast-paced, real-world environment. You'll be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and management of large-scale event and broadcast networks, including Wi-Fi, wired infrastructure, and CCTV systems.

During on-site periods, you'll be part of a core technical team ensuring reliable connectivity across the site. When not deployed, you'll assist with equipment preparation, warehouse management, and planning at our Cardiff facility. In recognition of the intensity of on-site work, the role includes larger blocks of time of during quieter months.

Responsibilities:

On-Site Network Operations (Near Inverness – 8 Months per Year):

• Install, configure, and maintain site-wide wired and wireless networks.

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical support during live operations.

• Work closely with production and broadcast teams to deliver reliable network

performance.

• Support 6-day weeks during on-site operational periods.

Warehouse & Preparation (Cardiff and Off-Site Periods):

• Organise and manage network equipment inventory, ensuring readiness for deployment.

• Test, maintain, and prepare Wi-Fi and CCTV equipment.

• Coordinate logistics, repairs, and replacements as needed.

• Contribute to planning, documentation, and technical improvements during non-

deployment periods.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (preferably in the events, live production, or broadcast industry).

• Experience with networking equipment. CAT5 termination experience required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a mobile team in remote environments.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel worldwide based on job.
