The Role:
At Greencore, our success relies on the strength and accuracy of our supply chain decisions. As a Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping these decisions by providing robust, data-driven forecasts that guide production, inventory, and long-term supply strategies.
We're looking for someone with
proven demand planning expertise and experience in long-term forecasting within supply chain
, ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG. This is a key role where your insights will directly impact operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and our ability to deliver for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and refinement of demand forecasts, ensuring accuracy across both short- and long-term horizons by leveraging historical data, market intelligence, and customer insights.
- Translate complex data into actionable forecasts that support supply planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, operations, and supply chain colleagues to align forecasts with business objectives, highlight risks, and identify opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to maintain optimal stock levels, balancing availability with waste reduction and cost control.
- Drive continuous improvement of demand planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance forecast accuracy and overall supply chain performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in demand planning and long-term forecasting within supply chain (food manufacturing/FMCG preferred).
- Strong analytical capability, able to interpret data and turn it into practical business decisions.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (essential).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and accuracy.
- Flexibility, with occasional weekend working required.
