Our qualified teachers provide tailored 1-to-1 and small-group tuition in homes, online, and within school settings, helping students thrive academically and emotionally.

The Role

We're looking for enthusiastic qualified English teachers (QTS) to join our growing team of tutors. You'll deliver engaging, personalised English tuition across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to strengthen reading, writing, and analytical skills while building confidence in both literature and language.

Tuition includes a mix of:

  • Pupils attending school who need additional subject-specific or exam preparation support
  • Students who are electively home educated (EHE), working towards GCSEs or functional skills
  • Learners with medical needs or those receiving education other than at school (EOTAS)

You can choose to teach in person or online, with flexibility to fit around your lifestyle and existing commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons tailored to each learner's needs.
  • Support GCSE preparation, including essay writing, exam technique, and analysis of set texts.
  • Develop students' confidence in reading comprehension, grammar, and creative writing.
  • Assess progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents/carers, or schools.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold safeguarding standards.
  • Complete safer recruitment and onboarding checks before commencing tuition.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make English engaging and accessible.
  • A passion for helping young people thrive and reach their potential.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
