Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team at our Charlton Store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stock management duties, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
  • Engage in picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
  • Conduct regular checks on inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
  • Knowledge of materials handling techniques to ensure safe practices are followed.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems or similar software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a fast-paced environment.
