Job role:

We are looking for a passionate & highly-motivated Clinical Assistant, with excellent communication skills, patient care and organisational skills to join our team working providing the highest standard of care for our patients.

You should be able to work in a busy medical clinic environment, and willing to go above and beyond for our patients and the team. We are looking for an individual who can assist and work alongside the Consultants and nurses to ensure the smooth running of our clinics.

This role requires working on a rotational basis at both of our Clinic sites, Cheadle SK8 3FS as well as Manchester M15 4QN

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare and maintain clinical environments and equipment before and after clinic sessions/patient interactions
  • Assisting with clinical procedures including skin surgery and non-surgical aesthetic procedures
  • Administrative duties (including note taking and typing letters)
  • Answering e-mail and telephone enquiries
  • Booking patients/diary management
  • Venepuncture (desirable)
  • Obtaining and labelling specimens
  • Chaperoning doctors/nurses during patient examinations
  • Stock checks
  • Assisting in maintaining standards to meet CQC requirements
  • Regular cleaning duties to comply with CQC standards for healthcare facilities
  • Please note this job includes evenings and Saturday working on a shared rota (currently alternate Saturdays on a regular basis – but additional cover may be needed when colleagues are away)

Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in CQC-regulated environment as a Clinical Assistant or Healthcare Assistant (dermatology/aesthetic/cosmetic surgery clinic experience desirable)
  • Experience with using an electronic patient record management system
  • Experience with e-mails, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Experience with customer service

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – to maintain our high standard of patient care and outstanding reputation
  • Enthusiastic team player – good people skills and able to work with other members of the team to fulfil clinic needs. Also flexible and willing to help other members of the team or cover for colleagues who are on leave when needed
  • Organisational/time management skills – able to organise time effectively to carry out the various responsibilities effectively and to a high standard
  • Reliable & dependable - able to complete tasks within agreed time frames with good attention to detail
