Job Summary – Dental Therapist (UDA-based Role)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Therapist to join our growing clinical team. The successful candidate will provide high quality therapeutic and preventive dental care to patients, helping them improve and maintain their oral health.

This position is paid £10 per UDA.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and preventive dental treatment within your scope of practice, including restorations, periodontal therapy, and oral health promotion.
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide patient-focused care through individual appointments and clear treatment planning.
  • Monitor patient progress and ensure accurate clinical charting and record keeping.
  • Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and the wider clinical team to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Maintain strict compliance with CQC, HTM 01-05, NHS England, and practice policies.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, prevention, and ongoing care strategies.

Skills & Requirements

  • GDC-registered Dental Therapist (or Dental Hygienist/Therapist).
  • Strong clinical knowledge of dental anatomy, treatment planning, and restorative procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Empathy, active listening, and a patient-focused approach to care.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage UDA allocation efficiently.
