Job description: Duty Manager

We are looking for Duty Managers to join our team during a magical winter period. The ideal candidate is someone with management experience in hospitality, at a leisure attraction or in events. The role is based on site, leading shifts when senior managers are not on site and ensuring our customers have a safe and enjoyable experience at Skuna

Skuna Boats was launched in 2017 with a mission to provide unique water based experiences. Since then we have grown to become an award winning experience and one of London's most unique tourist attractions. Recently it has launched winter products making it a destination all year round. We currently offer four experiences with our Hot Tub, BBQ, Igloo and Sauna boats.

The Person

We are looking for a organised, adaptable, customer focused leader who is looking for a role in a company during an exciting period of growth. The role will work at our London location in Canary Wharf and the majority of time will be spent outdoors.

The Role

  • Manage day-to-day operations and deliver excellent customer experience to guests. This is a hands-on outdoors based role.
  • Oversee smooth departure and turnaround of all boat bookings.
  • Ensure all departments are running effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage inquiries in person, over the phone and via email with the team available.
  • Manage staff performance, schedule and allocate break as required.
  • Take a lead on ensuring our health and safety processes are implemented at all times.
  • The role is a mixture of marine, hospitality and operations.

Your skills and experience

  • Reliability and punctuality is essential
  • Sound Health & Safety knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Manage equipment & stock, receive deliveries and place orders as needed.
  • Lead by example, encourage and look after the welfare of the team.
  • Marine experience - it is not required that you have experience of the marine industry, but it is preferable. Training is provided on the job.
  • Qualifications preferred: RYA courses, First Aid

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
