Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting any shortages or issues.
  • Support the serving staff as needed, providing assistance with plating and presentation of meals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
