| Salary £28,142 -£32,061 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Pro Rata
We are recruiting passionate and committed Personal Advisors to join Lancashire County Council's Children's Social Care – Leaving Care Service. You will support care experienced young people aged 15¾ to 25 as they transition to independence, ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold a caseload of care leavers and provide tailored support to meet their individual needs.
- Contribute to and coordinate Pathway Plans and reviews.
- Advocate for young people, ensuring they understand their rights and entitlements.
- Support access to education, employment, training, housing, health services, and financial support.
- Promote resilience, independence, and positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings and supervision.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with vulnerable young people or care leavers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989, Children Leaving Care Act 2000, and related statutory guidance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting equality, participation, and young people's voices.
