WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Hawthorn learning disability team is a dedicated group of professionals who support individuals with a range of learning disabilities to live a fulfilling life. We work in a person-centred way, promoting dignity, respect, and empowerment, the team includes senior support workers, support workers, administrative support, domestic and cook. We operate in a warm, inclusive environment where everyone contributes to the wellbeing of people that we support.

As a domestic assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the individuals we support. Duties will include;

  • General cleaning of communal areas, Kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms
  • Laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing
  • Assisting with basic food preparation and kitchen hygiene
  • Supporting infection control procedures
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting stock shortages
  • Working alongside the care team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and comfort

WHAT WILL I NEED?

Whilst previous experience in a domestic or cleaning role is desirable, it is not essential. Training will be provided. What is important is a good attitude and willingness to contribute to a caring environment.
