Description

LV Care Group are looking for an IT Technician Support to join the team, to provide efficient and confidential IT support to the Group and Home Manager's where necessary, as part of the IT team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support:-

  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple care sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, etc.
  • Support remote access and mobile working for field-based care staff.
  • Install and commission new equipment as required.

Care System Support:-

  • Maintain and support platforms including electronic care planning, medication management, and rostering systems.
  • Assist with onboarding and training staff on digital care platforms.
  • Ensure care systems are functioning optimally and updated regularly.

Security and Compliance:-

  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive care data.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and health data protection regulations.
  • Manage user access controls, passwords, and permissions.

Infrastructure Maintenance:-

  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure including Wi-Fi networks and server connections.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and repairs and upgrades.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely updates and replacements.

Reporting and Documentation:-

  • Document support requests, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Generate reports and audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
  • Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections (e.g. CQC).

Staff Training and Support:-

  • Provide basic IT training and support to care staff with varying levels of digital literacy.
  • Create user guides and support materials for common tasks and systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience in IT support, ideally within Health Care or Social Care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and mobile device management.
  • Familiarity with care management systems (e.g. Access, Nourish, CarePlanner, etc.) is not essential, but would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of GDPR and Data Protection in a Health Care context.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A driving licence is not essential, but would be beneficial.
  • Patient approach to supporting non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to improving digital care delivery through reliable IT support.
  • Good organisational skills.
