The Lifestyle Lab Europe is a dynamic innovation team dedicated to developing brand new products and features for Samsung's home appliances and air solutions. We work at the intersection of insight, strategy and innovation, partnering closely with internal product planning and R&D teams to shape future product line-ups tailored to European markets and consumer needs.
This is a unique opportunity to join us as a Innovation Design Researcher (Parental Cover), where you'll bring fresh perspective and creativity to our projects. In this role, you'll lead research projects end-to-end, uncover consumer insights, and translate them into product strategies that directly influence Samsung's innovation roadmap.
This is the chance to make a real impact on European product innovation, while owning projects, driving workshops, and ensuring the consumer voice is at the heart of every idea.
Role And Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end research: design, fieldwork, analysis, and insight reporting
- Explore trends, lifestyles, and behaviours, to spot opportunities for home appliances
- Plan and complete qualitative research with agency partners (e.g. interviews, home visits, focus groups)
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to surface actionable insights
- Plan and facilitate cross-functional workshops and ideation sessions
- Communicate findings and recommendations to interested parties in Europe and worldwide
- Benchmark competitor products, features, and strategies to identify white spaces
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and strategists to turn insights into concepts
- Both support and guide the team in delivering innovation projects that balance consumer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives
- Champion European consumers and their unique cultural context within our projects
What We Need For This Role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in innovation, product development and/or design, ideally with physical products (consumer electronics or similar)
- Experience living in Europe and familiar with local culture and lifestyle
- Strong qualitative and trend research skills to identify consumer pain points
- Mixed-methods mindset and eager to try out new research approaches
- Proven ability to translate research into actionable product and business decisions
- Comfortable coming up with new ideas, concepts, and strategies for the business
- Experience in running and facilitating creative workshops and ideation sessions
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Confident in taking ownership of projects and delivering independently, while also able to working closely with a multidisciplinary team
- Willing to responsibly explore new research methods (e.g. AI) to unlock innovation opportunities
- Intellectual curiosity with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new products, technologies, and markets
- Comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and exploring new processes
- Willingness to both learn from and mentor others
- A desire to work in a multicultural, cross-functional environment
Desirable (not Required)
- Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances and/or technical products
- Multilingual proficiency (English + another European language)

Within 6 months you will:
- Deliver impactful research reports that uncover unique European consumer insights
- Bring new ideas that influence product roadmaps
- Inspire the team with a different angle to explore new biz areas
- Build strong relationship with local and HQ teams to strengthen our impact
- Contribute to the development of concepts that bring consumer insight to life
