Nursery Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of nursery cook. This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in food preparation and food safety.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
• Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
• Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient and high-quality service

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or working within a professional kitchen environment
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
