Teaching Assistant

Full-time hours for this post: 27 hours and 30 mins per week, term time only

Grade 4 Points 5-6 (£24,790 - £25,183 per annum FTE)

Actual salary £16,015 - £16,270 per annum for full-time hours.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Inclusion Department. The successful candidate will need to be well qualified as they will be supporting students in a range of different key stages and curriculum areas. Good literacy skills and numeracy are essential.

The Weald is a high achieving, popular and oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school and sixth form college, situated in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, 10 minutes from Horsham, 35 minutes from Guildford and Brighton, and an hour by train to London. The school has an excellent record of academic and pastoral achievement and we pride ourselves in creating a caring and respectful ethos where every child is important. Our A-level results routinely place us in the top 3 sixth form providers in West Sussex; in 2024, at GCSE our students achieved almost half a grade higher than their expected outcomes*.
