Early Years Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills within a vibrant educational setting, contributing positively to children's growth and well-being.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through personalised care
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare
- Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nappy changes, and outdoor play
- Lead small group activities to encourage learning through play
- Support the management team in organising educational resources and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
- Occasionally assist with transportation of children using company vehicles, subject to driving licence requirements
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and child development stages
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within an educational or childcare environment
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience with organising activities that foster learning through play and social interaction
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation responsibilities
