Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader Healthcare Assistant (days) to join our team, providing compassionate support and care within a care home environment specialising in senior care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and experience in supervising care staff. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while developing your professional skills in a supportive setting.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Lead and manage a team of staff with confidence to monitor and correct standards of care
- Support the creation and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with senior staff
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly
- Supervise and mentor care assistants, fostering a positive team environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care
- Assist with organising activities that promote residents' social engagement and wellbeing
- To provide cover for the rota
- Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or senior care setting is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience within healthcare environments is essential
- Confidence with developing and managing care plans
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and documentation
- Driving experience is preferred for roles involving transportation of residents
- Flexibility and reliability
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and compliance standards within healthcare settings
- Level 3 in Health and Social care is essential

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
