Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role, based in Plymouth, for a Mechanical Fitter. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing machinery and equipment. Daily tasks involve preventive maintenance, repair of mechanical systems, performing machining work, and ensuring that all fittings are properly secured and operational. The position requires working closely with the maintenance team to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Fitting and Preventive Maintenance practices
  • Experience in general Maintenance and working with Machinery
  • Skills and experience in Machining to precise specifications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Relevant vocational training, certifications, or qualifications in mechanical engineering preferred
