Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for, making a positive impact in their daily routines.

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Monitor and record clients' health and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create personalised care plans.

Contracts available - 10, 15, 20, 25 , 30hrs weekly

Shift Patterns - 08:00 - 14:00 and 16:00 - 22:00

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
  • Empathy and compassion towards individuals in need of care.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a care setting.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • A valid driving licence may be beneficial for community-based roles.
