Where Does This Role Fit In?

Dan y Bryn is set in beautiful landscaped surroundings in the small village of Ynysmeudwy, on the outskirts of Pontardawe. We're known for our excellent reputation as a quality and valued care provider, where the needs of our residents are always at the heart of what we do.

What is the Role?

As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting both residents and staff throughout the night. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Motivating and leading the care team to provide exceptional support.
  • Ensuring safety and well-being by following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Supervising & mentoring Care Workers to help them develop and thrive.
  • Maintaining records and documenting any concerns accurately.

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

  • At least 2 years' experience in a care worker role.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) and a willingness to work towards Level 3.
  • Experience in implementing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Leadership experience, including team management, supervision, and conducting annual appraisals.

What are the pay and benefits?

  • £26,315 FTE 36 hour salary
  • Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
  • Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
  • 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 27 days after 1 years' service or cash equivalent of 1 days' annual leave
