On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Project Planner (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (two days per week office based - Milton Keynes).

Job Purpose:
The Project Planner will provide professional leadership and technical expertise in planning across the Infrastructure Monitoring (IM) programme.
As a Project Planner, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Lead planning processes, stakeholder identification, and communication strategies.
- Promote awareness of roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities across the programme.
- Serve as a key interface between planning and project teams, including Risk, Finance, and Commercial functions.
- Develop and maintain high-quality project and programme plans in MSP and Primavera P6, as required, outlining scope, goals, timelines, milestones, resources, and key activities.
- Construct Master Programme Plans in P6 / MSP (as required) with embedded WBS and sub-projects in MSP, including Core IM Sourcing Programme and associated interdependencies.
- Ensure plans serve as structured roadmaps, guiding delivery and enabling pulse checks throughout the lifecycle.
Essential:
- Proven experience in planning complex change and procurement programmes.
- Professionally qualified MSP Planner.
- Expert in Primavera P6, with strong WBS and sub-project management skills.
- Proficient in Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
- Strong background in project resource management.
- Familiarity with Network Rail contracts, processes, and systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Strong IT skills and experience in the UK rail industry.
