Cook – Part-Time Afternoon Role at Little Angels Nursery Morning Position (Lowerhouses)

We are a professionally run nursery based in Lowerhouses, and we're currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team in a part-time capacity.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 – 12:30

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for the children in our care, using our established rotating menus. You will also have the opportunity to help further develop these menus in collaboration with the on-site management team, taking into account seasonal ingredients and ensuring all meals meet our "five a day" target.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant cooking experience (nursery or similar setting preferred)
  • Ideally holds a recognised cooking qualification and a valid food hygiene certificate
  • Is passionate about children's nutrition and committed to providing high-quality meals
  • Can maintain exceptional hygiene and safety standards at all times
  • Is able to follow special dietary procedures, including allergies and dietary preferences
  • Has excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills

You'll be working in our modern, fully-equipped commercial kitchen and will play an important role in shaping the food offering at the nursery. We place high value on the role of our cooks, and you'll be supported by and collaborate closely with our management team.

Our nursery consistently holds a 5-star health and hygiene rating, and we expect the successful candidate to uphold this standard.
