Join Our Team as a Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Winsford, Cheshire (Distribution Hub)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to help us keep our stock levels high and ensure our customers get the parts they need on time. You'll manage stock replenishment, work closely with suppliers, and help us find ways to improve our processes—all in a cost-effective way.

What You'll Do:

  • Place and manage stock orders daily, weekly, and monthly from approved suppliers
  • Keep stock levels and delivery times accurate and up-to-date
  • Communicate with the warehouse about stock arrivals and ETAs
  • Record customs entries for international orders
  • Work with our transport team to reduce costs
  • Follow up on overdue orders and confirm delivery dates
  • Order spare parts outside regular stock for special customer requests
  • Update system prices, lead times, and sell prices as needed
  • Process supplier invoices and resolve shortages or pricing issues
  • Keep key stakeholders informed of any issues
  • Look for ways to improve our purchasing processes
  • Perform other related tasks as required

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Knowledge of technical or engineering products (a plus)
  • Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Great communication skills and a team player
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach
