We are seeking a Lunchtime Assistant to support our Lunch and Kitchen teams in delivering the highest quality food to our children aged between 2 – 7 years old. The role will include supporting our Lunchtime team in supervising the children throughout mealtime and playtime.

Hours: 11:00am - 14:00pm, Monday - Friday

Job description:

· Be responsible for supervising a group of pupils in the dining area and other parts of the School during the lunch period, helping to organise dining and playground areas appropriately.

· Assist Kitchen staff with duties such as washing up and cleaning down after service.

· Promote school behavior policy, assisting with maintaining discipline and supporting children to resolving conflicts in a positive way.

· Deal with incidents of misbehavior by appropriate intervention and report serious incidents to the Lunchtime Supervisor/Duty Manager/Headteacher as appropriate.

· Assist in the dining area and encourage good eating practices, ensuring safety with cutlery and courtesy towards servers and monitors.

· Encourage children to eat their meal and assist with cutting up food, pouring liquids etc. Where necessary, paying particular attention to those with allergies, special needs or disabilities.

· Be aware of pupils on special or restricted diets for medical or religious reasons from information provided.

· Ensure all areas are left clean and tidy including Dining area and Kitchen in accordance with hygiene & Health and Safety procedures.

Interview process:

1st stage: Video interview with Recruitment Manager

2nd stage: Invited into the school for a formal interview with the Headteacher and practical interview with Lunchtime Supervisor supporting for a period through lunchtime.
