Application Support Engineer – Full-time, Office-based

About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Application Support Engineer to keep our business-critical applications and IT infrastructure running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving problems, enjoys working across applications and systems, and is motivated by helping colleagues get the best out of their tech.

What you'll do

  • Provide 1st & 2nd line support across hardware, software, and core business applications (Business Central 365, Centric PLM, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and more)
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and MS365 profiles with a strong focus on security
  • Own incidents, requests, and change processes related to applications and IT systems
  • Diagnose and resolve application/infrastructure issues, escalating when needed
  • Support and maintain networks, hardware, and office AV equipment
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects (backups, device rollouts, password security, etc.)
  • Create clear documentation, training, and user guides
  • Be a key support during business-critical events (product launches, peak trading)
  • Provide excellent, customer-focused support on-site and remotely
  • Participate in out-of-hours support on a rota basis

What you'll bring

  • Solid experience in 1st/2nd line IT or application support
  • Passion for engineering, knowledge or learning of a scripting/programming language
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, Azure & user account management
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, or ecommerce platforms (Business Central & Salesforce Commerce Cloud a bonus)
  • Understanding of integrations, APIs, monitoring & alerting (desirable)
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly
  • Strong Excel and documentation skills
  • Clear, confident communicator with a customer-first approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work full-time in the office (no hybrid)
