Senior Knowledge Lawyer

We are partnering with a leading international law firm headquartered in London to recruit a Senior Knowledge Lawyer for its Real Estate Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate finance lawyer seeking to transition into a knowledge role, or for an established knowledge lawyer looking to join a growing, dedicated knowledge team.
The Real Estate Finance team comprises over 40 lawyers who act for major banks, debt funds, insurers, and other financial institutions on the lender side, as well as investors, developers, blue-chip property companies, and family offices on the borrower side. The team advises on domestic and cross-border transactions across all real estate asset classes, delivering high-quality and varied work including development finance, hotel finance, Islamic finance, and mezzanine finance. Key sectors include hotels and leisure, PRS, student accommodation, logistics, and offices.
Role Responsibilities:
- Knowledge Development & Training
: Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars for lawyers and clients on key topics and emerging trends. - Thought Leadership & Business Development
: Produce client-facing articles, contribute to briefings, pitches, and proposals, and collaborate with overseas offices to create jurisdictional handbooks. - Precedent Management
: Draft, update, and maintain a comprehensive suite of REF precedents (e.g., fee letters, facility agreements, debentures, subordination deeds). Oversee borrower-side mark-ups and ensure documents remain current and fit for purpose. - Process Improvement & Legal Tech Integration
: Lead precedent reviews, drive automation initiatives, and integrate legal technology tools. Support know-how dissemination across the Real Estate division and train teams on new tools and processes.
