Job Purpose and work duties

Full time/part time fully qualified care support worker, working Monday – Friday, (occasional weekends and overnight care is also required.) Is required to assist with various activities, enabling the employer to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets their chosen lifestyle. Day & night care required, our client requires 24 hour care.

Key Responsibilities/Skills:

For delivery of high quality care, and medical services to our client on a one to one basis, in clients private home environment. Must be fully qualified and trained, and have knowledge of caregiving, must have empathy and understanding of issues encountered by vulnerable person with care needs. Must be able to use own initiative, plan own work, and prioritise clients care needs. Ability to work without direct supervision, must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a very responsible attitude. Administer medication, and perform first aid tasks. Working with the family to focus on promoting good health with professionalism. Must be flexible, reliable, honest and patient

Essential Requirements:

Preferably trained in management of epilepsy and associated conditions

Must provide evidence of full training with care certificates

Nursing experience (basic first aid)

Full clean driving license

Enhanced DBS check

Flexible and unsociable hours.

Work Duties:

Domestic tasks e.g. laundry, housework and meal preparation.

Shopping

Outdoor walking/exercise

Taking me to appointments

Assisting with leisure activities

Supporting with

  • Mobility, ensuring the employers safety
  • Personal care (to assist a middle aged gentlemen
  • Undertaking activities for employer
  • Ensuring employers home is clean, hygienic, and safe

Location:

Within the employers home.

Hours and rate of pay:

working Monday – Friday, occasional weekends and overnight stay, hours to be discussed with employer

£13 - £15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
