We're a young and growing construction company based in East Manchester, established 3 years ago. Our projects typically run between 2 to 12 weeks, offering variety, fresh challenges, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of sites without long periods of downtime.

We're looking for someone who wants to be part of our journey — whether you're an experienced site manager or a skilled joiner/general builder ready to move into management.

The Role:

We are seeking a Working or Trainee Site Manager with a joinery and general building background to join our team.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of sites, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained, and acting as the key link between subcontractors, suppliers, and company management.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality and organisation, and wants to grow with a developing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring high standards of health and safety.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and company management.
  • Plan and manage work schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain good communication using mobile and laptop tools for updates and reports.
  • Uphold quality and safety standards across all stages of the project.
  • Represent the company positively with clients and on-site teams.
  • Support and develop junior staff or trainees (if experienced), or be open to learning management responsibilities (if developing).

What We're Looking For:

  • Joinery or general building background (essential)
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid are beneficial (or willingness to gain them)
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Reliable, punctual, and organised
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and digital)
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a "solutions, not problems" mindset
  • Willingness to travel between sites (mainly M62 corridor: Leeds – Liverpool)
