We are seeking a proactive, high-energy New Business Lead Sales Executive to drive growth across the renewables sector. This role is focused on identifying, engaging, and converting new customers and building a strong pipeline across EPCs, developers, consultants, and large-scale commercial and industrial clients.

You will play a key role in expanding our market footprint across solar PV, BESS and VAWT solutions, creating new revenue streams and supporting our long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and convert new sales opportunities across UK & IRE renewables markets
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline via outbound outreach, networking, and industry intelligence
  • Develop relationships with EPCs, developers, commercial buyers, facilities management, and end-clients
  • Lead early-stage discussions through to proposal, negotiation and close

Market & Sector Growth

  • Map target segments and prepare territory engagement plans
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and networking forums
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging market trends (solar, storage, micro-wind)

Sales Process & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM updates, forecasting and pipeline reporting
  • Work closely with marketing to align lead generation campaigns
  • Coordinate with technical and operations teams on feasibility and proposals

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Proven track record in proactive outbound sales (ideally 2–5+ years)
  • Experience selling into renewable energy, energy storage, or related infrastructure (e.g. solar PV, BESS, grid services, micro-generation)
  • Confident in developing new customer relationships from cold outreach through to close
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate technical value clearly
  • Self-starter, target-driven and comfortable working autonomously

Desirable

  • Existing network within EPCs, developers, or industrial clients
  • Understanding of UK energy regulations (e.g. G99/G100, grid connections)
  • Experience with VAWT, hybrid systems, micro-generation or distributed energy

  • Quarterly revenue and conversion targets
  • Number of qualified new opportunities generated
  • Pipeline growth and forecast accuracy
  • New strategic accounts opened
  • Contribution to sector/territory expansion
