Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they are safe, roadworthy, and performing at their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Replace or repair worn or damaged parts, such as brakes, suspension, exhausts, and clutches
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare reports on findings
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and within agreed timeframes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a car mechanic or vehicle technician
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) preferred
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
