We are looking for a highly motivated trainee printer who is comfortable working full-time hours. You must have a keen eye for detail with solid experience of manufacturing high quality products. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work alongside our existing printers producing high quality labels. Continuous improvement is a core part of our culture. Your job functions will include:

• Ability to read and follow work order specifications
• Setup and operation of printing machines
• Inspect for quality while machine is operating and adjust as necessary
• Quality check all finished products
• Label all finished products and package all products in appropriate boxes;
• Ensure total quality through use of good manufacturing practice and company standard operating procedures
• Maintain housekeeping standards -keeping a clean & organised working environment
• Assist team members as needed
• Provide support to meet department and company objectives by performing other duties as assigned following appropriate training.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrable previous machine operating experience is essential (ideally printing, rewinding, label converting or similar) as we can fully train a successful candidate at our own cost to ensure their success.
• The ability to work and concentrate under pressure in a high volume factory is essential.
• Relating to our core company values of Quality, Commitment, Teamwork and Honesty is essential.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective lean manufacture of goods is desirable.

• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;

• Manual dexterity; must be able to lift up to 25kg
• Must be able to work well with others;
• Good problem solving ability;
• Ability to work well in a high pressure environment;
• Must be willing to work flexibly as needed to meet the production requirements.
