Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing various outdoor and indoor structures, with a focus on landscape and horticultural projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for construction, gardening, and maintenance to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be involved in a range of tasks requiring mechanical knowledge, the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Constructing and assembling structures using appropriate materials and techniques
  • Performing landscape maintenance including gardening, planting, and turf management
  • Operating machinery such as excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution
  • Using hand tools and power tools to carry out various construction and maintenance tasks
  • Conducting routine inspections of structures and landscapes to identify repair needs
  • Assisting with general site maintenance to ensure safety and cleanliness
  • Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
  • Following health and safety regulations at all times during project execution

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction, landscaping, or horticulture is desirable
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good understanding of health & safety standards within construction environments
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, digging, and operating machinery
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
