Great opportunity to join us as a Data and Project Lead Consultant within the Outsourcing GB (OGB) line of business. As a Data and Project Lead Consultant you will work within the Data Serviced Delivery (DSD) Team to primarily support the implementation, go-live and project lifespan of Settlement Portal projects for GMP top-ups and other benefit top-up/correction payments, which include but are not limited to:

  • Client contact & management. Discussing scope, fees, timescales, problems, complaints, progress reporting etc. with clients and ensuring we are contracted for work
  • Internal stakeholders – working with actuarial colleagues to plan projects, discuss and feed into legal questions on process, one or multiple phases, agree data flows, reconcile and check data
  • Technology – working with our tech teams to build, document and maintain processes. Chase when things need doing, are not working or are not on time
  • Practical – getting actively involved – preparing data, loading data to the system via interfaces, testing data, testing the web portal, getting things fixed and retesting
  • Change Approval Boards (CABs) – managing getting our deployments through CABs, assembling evidence, managing the multiple Jira tickets that are needed for the Settlement Portal builds
  • Operations – working with our Settlement, Service Centre and Indexing teams (who are globally located) to support & deal with escalations, email wording, etc. to help the out-of-normal operations work
  • Financials – working with Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) to invoice the correct amount each month
  • Product improvements – working with teams to log and manage product development, getting involved with requirements, testing and deployment CABs.

The role includes a degree of project management responsibilities, responsibility for creating and managing activities directly with Clients and liaison with Client Managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful project conclusions.

Qualifications
The Requirements

  • Extensive experience of dealing with UK defined benefit pensions schemes, managing projects in particular data driven projects and experience of risk reduction practices
  • A clear, concise and confident communicator of issues relating to pensions, technology, project management and member data to a broad audience
  • Ability to identify and efficiently resolve issues identifying solutions to enable projects to be effectively delivered in accordance with client requirements
  • Proven track record of working at a managerial or senior analytical level
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and prioritising skills, including preparation and presentation of reports
  • An influencer who is both process and content driven with excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality outcomes
  • Strong organisational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance driven environment
  • Proficient commercial acumen in order to plan, manage, track and deliver project revenue, client and business requirements within budget
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage resources and delivery from colleagues to ensure successful outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead projects (many at one point in time) providing strategic direction and guidance while managing, coaching and mentoring individual team members
