Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Voluntary Volunteer Recruitment Manager based in the East London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility around your own schedule.
The role will be shared with another counterpart.
The Volunteer Recruitment Manager will lead efforts to recruit, onboard, and support a diverse team of volunteers. Weekly responsibilities include coordinating and managing volunteer engagement strategies, organizing events to attract potential volunteers, maintaining recruitment records, and collaborating closely with leadership to align volunteer initiatives with organizational goals. The role also involves fostering a positive volunteer experience and building strong relationships within the community and partner organizations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Volunteer Management and Recruitment, including strategies for engagement and retention
- Excellent Communication, Relationship-Building, and Interpersonal skills
- Organizational and Project Management skills, with the ability to coordinate events and initiatives effectively
- Knowledge of Outreach and Community Engagement practices
- Strong Written Communication and administrative skills, including managing recruitment documentation
- Experience in working with culturally diverse communities is highly desirable
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for communication and management, such as Microsoft Office or volunteer management systems
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, social work, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory
