Summary

We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Hart Care. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff, reflecting our commitment to excellence and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • To work alongside our head of department to oversee daily housekeeping operations within the care home to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
  • Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping staff, providing training and support.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols tailored to the needs of residents with mental health conditions.
  • Monitor supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure cleaning practices support health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
  • Promote a culture of safety, respect, and teamwork among housekeeping personnel.
  • Assist in managing budgets related to cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping, preferably within healthcare or residential care settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to residential care environments.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
  • Previous hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A caring attitude aligned with our mission to support individuals with health needs.
