We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance Team in a permanent role. This hands-on position is ideal for someone eager to work in a dynamic shop-floor environment.

Primary Location: Washington (NE38)

Supporting Location: Seaton Burn (NE13, as required – Company transport available)

Salary: £DOE

Hours: 7.5 hours per day

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in the woodworking industry. Based primarily at our Washington site, you will also provide support at our Seaton Burn facility when required. The role involves ensuring the reliability and efficiency of a wide range of woodworking machinery and facilities plant through both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance across the Washington site.

· Support our Seaton Burn site when required.

· Diagnose and repair breakdowns on CNC routers, edgebanders, saws, drills, wood burners, woodchippers, and dust extraction systems.

· Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.

· Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery.

· Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.

· Keep accurate maintenance and service records.

Skills & Experience Required:

· Time-served engineer or relevant qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering.

· 18th Edition

· Proven experience maintaining woodworking machinery.

· Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

· PLC fault finding experience (advantageous but not essential).

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Flexible to provide cover out of hours when needed.

· A proactive approach to work.

· Full UK driving license.
