We're searching for an experienced Depot Manager to oversee the full planning, coordination and control of activities at our Bideford Depot. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure the depot runs safely, smoothly and efficiently every single day—while also driving improvements that boost performance, reduce overheads and maximise the value of every resource and waste stream we manage.

You'll be the person who keeps everything moving: securing and supervising the safe, timely and profitable handling of waste materials, supporting your team, and maintaining exceptional relationships with customers and the public.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Grade A–C
  • Comfortable using IT systems such as Microsoft Office and industry-specific platforms like RECY/MULCO (or similar)
  • Solid understanding of metals, metal markets and waste-recycling regulations
  • Knowledge of health & safety requirements related to heavy plant and machinery
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • WAMITAB or other waste-related NVQ (training can be provided)
