PE-backed, high-growth Business Services group
is seeking an experienced
Interim Finance Director
to support the Commercial Finance Director during a period of significant transformation and expansion.

This critical role will lead and deliver a variety of finance projects, including enhancing finance business partnering, improving management reporting, documenting policies, supporting acquisitions, refinancing and contract financing, resolving tax matters, and driving finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and improve finance business partnering and management reporting across the group.
  • Support M&A activity, refinancing, and contract financing projects.
  • Review and document financial policies and controls.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to align with strategic goals.
  • Provide financial insight to maximise revenue, improve profitability, and mitigate risks.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals to ensure robust financial performance and compliance.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver financial strategy and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven senior finance leadership experience with the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Construction, Facilities Management, Business Services or a related project-based industry exposure.
  • Strong technical and commercial finance skills, with the ability to balance detail and strategic impact.
  • Experience in finance business partnering and finance transformation.
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholders, ensuring financial insight drives business performance.
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to influence at all levels.

Contract:
6 months

Location:
Essex (office-based, with some flexibility)

Day Rate:
£500–£600 (Outside IR35)
