Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are hygienic, organised, and presentable, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience or a background in commercial cleaning to utilise their skills within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of offices, washrooms, communal areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Restock consumables such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as required
  • Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning duties to management
  • Follow organisational procedures for cleaning schedules and record keeping
  • Use environmentally friendly cleaning products where possible to promote sustainability

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and reliability
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, which may include early mornings or late shifts depending on operational needs

This role is ideal for proactive individuals who take pride in delivering a clean and hygienic environment. Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times.

Job Types: Temporary, Freelance

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £12.55-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week
