School Sports Coach

Location: North East, UK

Salary: £26,000 pro rata

Are you ready to make a real impact through sport and physical activity? At Simply Sport, we are expanding our delivery team and looking for an enthusiastic School Sports Coach to help us bring high-quality physical education and extra-curricular sport to primary school children across the North East.

This role will involve delivering engaging curriculum PE sessions during school hours, leading a range of extra-curricular sports clubs, and contributing to our growing community sport projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Run lunchtime and after-school clubs that encourage active lifestyles and inclusive participation.
  • Deliver curriculum-aligned PE lessons in partnership with teaching staff.
  • Help deliver community-based sport sessions in the evenings.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least two years' experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a school or sports education environment.
  • A minimum Level 2 coaching qualification in a recognised sport or physical activity discipline.
  • Confidence in delivering fun, adaptable sessions suitable for all skill levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate children.

Working Hours:

  • Term time: 35 hours per week, delivered flexibly between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
  • School holidays: Up to 40 hours per week available through holiday sports provision and camps.

Additional Info:

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as the role involves travelling between partner schools.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
