We are seeking a reliable and motivated Van Driver to join our team. 5 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations across Blackburn. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Duties

  • Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic regulations.
  • Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner, ensuring that all items are handled with care.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transport.
  • Loading and unloading goods, which may involve heavy lifting.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle used for deliveries.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a strong understanding.
  • A valid driving licence 1 + years appropriate for the vehicle being operated is essential.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies regarding transportation and delivery practices.
