Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience and progression)

About Us

We are a well-established provider of high-quality residential care for children and young people, committed to creating safe, nurturing, and empowering environments. With a strong ethos of therapeutic care and positive outcomes, we are now looking to recruit a Trainee Registered Manager for our children's home in Nuneaton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual ready to take the next step in their career and work towards full registration with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.

The Role

As a Trainee Registered Manager, you will work closely with an experienced senior leadership team to learn all aspects of running a successful children's residential home. You will be supported and mentored to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a fully Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring a safe, caring, and positive environment for the young people
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of care professionals
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to support positive outcomes
  • Work closely with external agencies, families, and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a passionate individual with a strong background in children's residential care who is ready to step into a leadership role.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Working towards or willing to undertake Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Previous deputy manager experience
  • Knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks
