Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
  • Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes efficiently using IT systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including infection control standards.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Organise clinical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of all areas within the practice.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental pracrtice is essential
  • Candidates should be qualified dental nurses and registered with the General Dental Council
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment systems.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable but not mandatory; relevant training will be offered for those eager to learn. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.20 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
