HoldCo Chief Executive Officer – HVAC Platform
Location:
United Kingdom
Structure:
Full-time
Compensation:
Competitive base + meaningful equity at HoldCo level + performance-based incentives
Company:
Limbic Capital (Emerging Investment Firm)
Sector:
Residential & Light Commercial HVAC Services
Stage:
Multi-acquisition roll-up launching in 2026 with a growing UK pipeline
Overview
We are building a national HVAC services platform through a disciplined buy-and-build strategy. We are now seeking a HoldCo CEO to lead operations across all acquired businesses, build the operating system for scale, and shape the growth of what will become one of the leading HVAC groups in the UK.
This role is for a proven operator — someone who has run a substantial service organisation, understands technician-driven businesses in detail, and knows how to turn fragmented operations into a coherent, high-performing group. You will have full operational responsibility for all acquired companies, while working closely with the sponsor on acquisition strategy, integration, talent, and long-term value creation.
This is a builder's role with real ownership. We are looking for someone who wants to create a national platform, not manage a single company.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Lead all day-to-day operations across the platform
• Build and implement the operating model used across all acquired companies
• Drive performance through clear KPIs, daily reporting, and operational discipline
• Ensure high-quality execution across service, install, sales, dispatch, and customer support
• Recruit, train, and develop leadership teams within each operating company
• Implement tight job costing, scheduling, routing, and utilisation processes
Financial & Commercial Performance
• Own the P&L for the platform and deliver EBITDA growth through operational excellence
• Improve technician productivity, labour utilisation, and gross margins
• Optimise service-to-install mix and drive maintenance contract penetration
• Strengthen pricing strategy, margin discipline, and quoting accuracy
• Work with suppliers to negotiate better terms and improve procurement efficiency
Integration & Growth
• Lead integration of all acquisitions, establishing unified systems and culture without disrupting what works
• Build a scalable playbook for onboarding new companies
• Identify operational bottlenecks and redesign processes for speed and consistency
• Ensure each acquired business transitions smoothly into the platform model
• Support the sponsor on due diligence for new targets, including operational assessment and integration planning
People & Culture
• Build a culture that technicians respect — one defined by fairness, clarity, and accountability
• Maintain strong relationships with field teams; ensure high retention of top technicians
• Develop field supervisors, service managers, install managers, and back-office leads
• Establish performance expectations and support teams in achieving them
Strategic Leadership
• Partner with the sponsor on growth initiatives, budgeting, and long-term planning
• Shape the expansion strategy for additional sites, service lines, and commercial opportunities
• Help define IT/CRM infrastructure, central functions, and shared services
• Represent operational needs in capital planning and investor discussions as needed
Qualifications
• Proven experience running a substantial P&L in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or another technician-driven trade (typically £15m–£50m+ revenue)
• Deep understanding of dispatch operations, routing, install economics, service margin drivers, technician management, and seasonal load management
• Experience integrating acquisitions or operating within a multi-location / roll-up environment
• Track record of building teams and improving performance through process and clarity
• Comfortable leading in a fast-moving environment where growth and change are constants
• Strong communication with both technicians and senior stakeholders
• Driven by ownership economics — looking to build a platform, not simply run a division
What We Offer
• Leadership of a national HVAC roll-up
• Meaningful equity at the HoldCo level tied to performance and long-term value creation
• Significant influence over strategy, culture, and the operating model
• A platform with active deal flow and the resources to scale
• A role designed for an operator who wants to build something substantial and enduring
