Job Description

is actively looking for a talented and driven Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner with previous experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Planning, and Accounting with the ability to work in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.

This role is part of the Strategic Finance & Planning team, a critical function supporting the business in financial planning and analysis, as well as corporate finance, strategy, investor relations, board and management reporting. 

You will collaborate with key members of Checkout's executive leadership team to drive financial analysis to enable decision making for the Finance, Treasury, Legal and Compliance departments. You will drive the planning, forecasting and budgeting processes for the core businesses you support and provide monthly reporting and analysis to senior business and finance leaders. You will be ready to influence and partner effectively across the organisation. You will play a central role in defining and implementing new processes in a fast-scaling international organisation. 

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering with senior business leaders to develop long term financial plans 
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and management process and reporting for the business areas including leading preparation of the annual business plan and analysis
  • Develop and track relevant KPIs and engagement/governance with the business around budget and spend to optimize expenses and investments
  • Enable management by providing timely and accurate information 
  • Decision support to senior finance and business leadership on investment/project decisions
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary to important partners including key leaders, the Investor Relations team, and Board
  • Support ad hoc projects and help define systems improvements
  • Direct and coach junior team members

About you

  • Qualified accountant with 8+ years of experience in a professional financial planning / accounting role
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with a thorough understanding of financial accounting and management reporting
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Superior problem solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with management
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to enact change in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience managing complex, cross functional workstreams and processes
  • Able to communicate effectively and concisely and help drive change
  • Able to drive prioritisation across competing priorities and managing key stakeholders
