Senior Clinical Psychologist

Location: Ty Aberdafen, Llanelli

Salary: Band 8 — £55,690 to £62,682 per annum (DOE, FTE) + £6,000 Golden Hello Bonus (FTE)

Hours: 21 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team and provide expert clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within our neurobehavioural model of rehabilitation. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring effective delivery of evidence-based interventions and supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries to achieve meaningful outcomes and regain independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments for adults with acquired brain injuries.
  • Develop and implement personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation plans.
  • Lead multidisciplinary goal setting, ensuring alignment with SMART rehabilitation objectives.
  • Provide consultation, supervision, and psychological guidance to colleagues, families, and carers.
  • Undertake therapeutic interventions across individual, family, and group settings.
  • Manage risk assessments and contribute to complex case formulations.
  • Support ongoing research, data collection, and service development initiatives.
  • Participate in the unit's on-call rota as required.

About You

  • Degree in Psychology accepted by the British Psychological Society (BPS) for GBR or equivalent.
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in neuropsychology and acquired brain injury.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical area.
  • Skilled in multidisciplinary working and promoting psychologically informed care.
  • Strong communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills.
